ABOUT US

Foundation Shunammite is a dedicated non-profit organisation that aims to reduce recidivism rates and empower individuals affected by incarceration. The foundation was established and registered in the City of Bloemfontein, Free State Province, South Africa in 2015. We believe that everyone deserves a second chance, and we strive to facilitate successful reintegration into society through comprehensive support programs. Our mission is to break the cycle of reoffending by providing critical resources, counselling, training, and job placement services to individuals transitioning from incarceration to community living.

INMATE COUNSELLING

Our counseling programs are designed to address the psychological and emotional needs of inmates. We provide individualized support to help them navigate the challenges of incarceration and prepare for their reintegration into society.

TRAINING & PLACEMENT

INMATE COUNSELLING

Foundation Shunammite Counselling department is dedicated to providing professional psychological support and counselling services to individuals within the correctional system. Our mission is to promote mental well-being, aid in rehabilitation, and support successful reintegration into society.


Foundation Shunammite Counselling Mission Statement:

Our mission is to offer comprehensive mental health services to inmates, focusing on their psychological well-being, personal growth, and successful reintegration into the community.


Services Offered:

1. Individual Therapy: Personalized one-on-one sessions to address specific mental health needs.

2. Group Therapy: Facilitated group sessions to promote collective healing and peer support.

3. Crisis Intervention: Immediate support for inmates experiencing acute psychological distress.

Purpose of the workshop

Foundation Shunammite is proud to bring an excellent fundraising training event to Bloemfontein! As an NGO ourselves, we know that fundraising can be daunting. This 2-day workshop will focus on everything you need to ensure a successful fundraising strategy.

Presenter


The presenter will be Annelise de Jager. She began her career as a social worker 35 years ago and has a long history of successful fundraising and training in this field. She is well known for creating the NPO Fundraising Forum as part of her Online Training Academy.
